Second to last day of the June month of art. ^_^

So I'm taking my mother to see Lion King up in DC. I've seen it twice on Broadway, and love the play to death.

first off, I take no responsibility on Simba's face, and part of hi mane. I totally traced it off a screenshot because I ran out of time and didn't want to not have lion Simba in the background cause I suck at drawing him freehand.

I did try about four times to draw him free hand before I gave up. Here's the screenshot I used, with very slight tweaks that weren't traced. [link] The rest of Simba's body was freehanded...so at least I can feel okay about that. >_< I despise tracing anyone else's art, including official art. But I figure that more than 50% of the picture was drawn on my own without any tracing, so I'll say its okay... ^_~

Broadway style Simba's costume I looked up on youtube videos of a few of the different actors who've played him. Anyone who's seen a Broadway play with multiple casts knows that they somehow get the actors to always look a LOT alike. ^_^ Its creepy actually...
